Students learn to evaluate the energy efficiency, health, and safety of a home and to use diagnostic equipment to identify areas for energy savings and to use modeling software to produce an audit report and develop a prioritized scope of work. Students take one written and one hands-on test at the conclusion of the class. This course is suitable for those with little or no experience in the field. This course is approved for 18.5 BPI CEUs. Note: the BPI HEP Energy Auditor certification is a separate test with an additional fee.
