This one week course teaches proper installation of products and services related to energy efficiency in existing homes. The course covers residential envelope air sealing, HVAC duct sealing, insulation, windows and doors, mechanical ventilation and roofing upgrades in single-family homes and small multi-family housing. Students will take one written and one hands-on test at the conclusion of the class. This course is suitable for weatherization crews, retrofit workers, and those seeking a better understanding of basic building science and energy efficiency. This course is approved for 8.75 BPI CEUs. Note: the BPI HEP RIT certification is a separate test with an additional fee.
